-About the Hiring Company
The Hiring company is a small, seed-stage startup headquartered in Ottawa Canada. They are developing high-performance, monolithically-integrated transmitters and receivers for 100 and 400 Gb/s Data-Center interconnect applications.
At the core of our technology is the integration of both electronic and optical components onto a single InP die, to produce compact, high-performance and high-yield E/O interfaces.
As they are completing their proof of concept seed stage and move into full scale product development they are about to raise their first large round of financing and are recruiting key individuals who will become the foundation of our engineering and design team.

-Job Responsibilities
o Design and analysis of various opto-electronic components including PIN/UTC-PIN Diodes, EA and MZ modulators, semiconductor lasers in InP
o Translate device operational specifications into device epi and layouts
o Develop processing techniques to produce devices integrable with InP electronics
o Verify device performance via simulation and characterization
o Develop methods and apparatus for optical characterization of integrated optical devices
-Job Requirement
o Knowledge of InP based optical devices
o Knowledge of measurement techniques for optical device characterization
o Familiarity with numerical simulation methods and tools for semiconductor devices
o Familiarity with InP processing techniques
o Ability to work in a team environment
o Strong communication, presentation and documentation skills.

o The job is one of four similar positions being filled in our facility in Guiyang
o Successful candidates will be given a generous living allowance.
o Successful candidates must be eligible to travel to Canada for training in our Ottawa facility.
